Sam Matson has recently completed the RORC Cervantes off-shore race to Le Havre as part of the Artemis Offshore Sailing Academy and sailing their Figaro 2 (number 21) in the two-handed division.

The 2013 Centenary Chase pursuit race, kindly sponsored by Graham Sykes, will take place on Sunday 19 May 2013.  See the notice of race here.

The Safety Boat Rota 2013 is now on Dutyman. Please use Dutyman to do swops and volunteer for any vacancies.

Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes are in 4th place going into today's 49er medal race at Hyeres, scheduled for this afternoon.  Watch it live here and cheer them on! UPDATE:  sadly the medal race was blown off, leaving Stevie and Ben 4th.  A pity they missed out on a crack at the medals, as they were only 8 points adrift of the leaders, but still a great effort - well done!

Congratulations to Neil Matson on finishing in 20th place in the outward leg of the Azores and Back race, in Vela Fresca.  Sam will join him for the return leg to Falmouth starting on 21 June.  See the event website for more details.  Apologies to Journal readers for the error in today's article - I had my legs mixed up!

• Normal entry - £130
• Youth entry - £115   (for helms aged 19 or below at start of Championship)
• 3 Day fee - £100
• 2 Day fee - £65
• Late entry fees after 12th September are - appropriate entry fee +£20.
