The club's Junior section continues to be a centre of activity. Meeting on a Friday evening from May to September, the junior night alternates between an open "SplashNight" session, where all who turn up will get a sail, and our RYA Stage 1-4 training programme. In addition, for those with a little more experience, we run our junior racing/coaching programme on a Thursday evening from April to August. This is a great way to develop your sailing skills and get into racing, with short courses, lots of advice and good company. Well behaved adults are also welcome to join in!
The junior section works closely with the RYA and dinghy class associations to develop junior sailing. We have an active Cadet class fleet and a growing number of Toppers and Laser 4.7s. Our members represent the club at open meetings, nationals and increasingly international events.
