 A posse from the club visited the Bay FM Studio on Saturday morning to join in presenter Dale Powis's Youth Programme. They are going to send us a copy of the recording and I will put a link to it on the website (if it doesn't sound too awful!). At the Help 4 Heroes party back in March we invited a group of Royal Marines, recovering from injuries sustained in action, to come and spend a day sailing followed by a BBQ and a few beers. This has now been arranged for Monday 2 August. The bar will be open from 5.30pm (unusual for a Monday) - all are welcome to join the party and meet our visitors.

It was a blustery, lively race last Saturday. Jeremy Moore sailing Excalibur was unfortunate enough to have a medivac call for his boat when his wife fell through the companionway and cut her head. She is now recovering at home and he still managed to finish 7th in his group. Best performance was Ben Rhodes (Lisette), who was 8th in his group and 10th overall. Chris Rhodes (Peanut) was 2nd in group (46th overall) and Rex Frost (Fable) was 8th in group (245th overall).

Launching at 1pm, approximate return, 4pm. All welcome!!
The 1st of the 2Rivers Junior Series was held last weekend at Teign Corinthian Yacht Club at Coombe Cellar on Sunday. In the fast fleet, Ed Mallinson finished 5th in his 4.7 Laser. In the slow fleet James and Chris Turl finished 1st in their Cadet, Tim Pearce came 3rd in his Topper.
