Apologies for the delay but the summer Training programme can now be found on the website calender.

Most of you will be aware of the array of photo-voltaic solar panels which were installed on our roof about a month ago.  So far the performance has been very good.  Considering that the sun is just climbing back up to a decent angle, the panels have regularly produced 4.5kW and today, Fri 13th produced 16.7kWh of energy.  Since installation, the total energy produced has been 246kWh, which is worth £91. 

The calender has now been updated with the coming year's dates for cruisers.  

In addition to the usual racing calender we have cruising adventures for all abilities; Family Cruising, Wine Run, Coastal Hop and numerous sociable cruises to local ports. Please contact me if you are interested in participating or want more information, please do feel encouraged to get out there and make the most of it.  

I am also interested in introducing skippers to crew for cruising and racing, as we seem to have both at a loose end.  Please get in touch if you are crew or skippers looking for help getting out on the water.

We have just had news that Susannah Pyatt, daughter of a former ESC sailor, Steve Pyatt, has been chosen for the Women's Match Racing crew as part of the NZ Olympic Team.  The Pyatts now live in Auckland.  Can we tempt them back?

The 2012 safety boat roster has now been loaded into Dutyman.  Any further changes should be made online in the usual way.  Thanks for all the feedback on the drafts.

The Cruiser section met on the 16th November to reconsider the options around lift in over the wall dates for Spring 2012.  The meeting was well attended, and after a period of discussion there was a vote held as to the preferred date.  The vote was in favour of 22nd March 2012.  The minutes of this meeting will be shared with the Commodore, the Cruiser section and the Dinghy Captain.

This year's Music Night is taking place on Tuesday 20th December, starting at 8.00pm.  

When our dinghy racing season finishes at Christmas, there's no need to put the boat away.  You can continue racing up the river at Starcross - see here for details.
